Foundations of Neuroscience

This is an online course offered in the summer. It is open to currently enrolled high school students.

This course provides an exploration of the nervous system, encompassing its structure, function, development, and related disorders. We will learn about the complexities of the brain and nervous system, examining how they control bodily functions, behavior, and mental processes. This topic is inherently interdisciplinary, drawing from the fields of biology, psychology, medicine, chemistry, linguistics, sociology, and chemistry, among others. This class provides a foundation for understanding the biological basis of our thoughts, feelings, and actions and how these can be affected by various factors, including disease and injury.
