Thank you for you interest in serving on one of our Arts & Sciences Pre-College Program community-building committeesThese committees aim to foster a positive community and build connections amid our busy summer programs.

All pre-college students are welcome to submit an interest form. Up to 5 students will be selected to participate per program session. 

About the Committees

  • Sunshine Committee: The Sunshine Committee brings together staff and students to plan and implement activities designed to "brighten" everyone’s day. This committee focuses on organizing events and initiatives that spread positivity, celebrate achievements, and foster a joyful atmosphere within our community.
  • Cross-Cultural Connections Committee: The Cross-Cultural Connections Committee is for staff and students dedicated to creating activities that promote cultural exchange and understanding. This committee works to develop programs and events that highlight various cultures, encouraging inclusiveness and enriching our community through shared cultural experiences.

Responsibilities and Time Commitment

  • Meet weekly to share ideas and plan activities.
  • Promote activities to pre-college community.
  • Implement activities and provide feedback on experience.

2026 Interest Timeline

  • Interest forms open: March
  • Form deadline: Friday, May 15 at 5:00pm CT
  • Committee notifications: Friday, May 29
