Request for Program Absence

Request for Program Absence

Students should plan to commit to the full length of the program and to schedule other commitments when the program is not in session. Missing any part of the program can impact the student's experience and academic performance. Students will not be automatically excused from classes to attend other commitments. They will need to get permission from their instructor and director to miss any scheduled classes.

If necessary, a parent/legal guardian may request a program absence for their student. For overnight absences, the student must plan to leave campus prior to 9:00pm. Students must sign out with staff before leaving and sign back in once they arrive back to campus. WashU and Arts & Sciences Pre-College Programs are not responsible for students during parent/guardian approved program absences.

This form should be completed by the parent/legal guardian at least 24 hours in advance of this absence.

Residential students should return by 9:00pm curfew.
Students must be picked up by a parent/legal guardian or an individual over the age of 18 designated by the parent/legal guardian. Photo identification is required at time of pickup.
