High School Summer Scholars Program

High School Summer Scholars Program

Explore Academic Interests

This five-week summer program is for rising high school seniors. Residential, commuter, and online options are available.

Students enroll in undergraduate courses for credit. Courses are taught by WashU instructors from across campus disciplines and research fields including humanities, social sciences, natural sciences and mathematics. Introductory-level curriculum provides an opportunity for students to create a strong foundation for future undergraduate studies. Past course options have explored subjects including political science, statistics, anthropology, philosophy, biology, and psychology.

In addition to coursework, students participate in enrichment programming designed to support the development of important college readiness skills. This program is ideal for students who want to earn college credit, challenge themselves academically and explore courses in a specific major or subject.
