Majors, Pre-Professional Paths, and Careers
All of our programs can be a great fit for a student considering a career in the health professions. For students interested in foundational studies of science and pre-health curriculum, we would encourage the High School Summer Scholars Program.
We also offer noncredit opportunities for students to explore healthcare across disciplines through our Exploration Courses as well as to create foundational research skills in our Research Development Institute.
For students considering a career in law, we recommend exploring a variety of courses that build a strong foundation in legal and related disciplines. The High School Summer Scholars Program offers courses in philosophy and ethics, which are essential for developing critical thinking and ethical reasoning skills. You could also expand your studies to include economics and ancient studies to provide context for legal systems.
For a more creative approach, our Creative Immersion Institute and Personal Narrative Exploration Course help you craft compelling narratives and arguments. Other Exploration Courses focus on gender and environmental studies which can provide valuable insights into human behavior and global legal issues.
For students passionate about the creative arts, we offer a range of programs designed to cultivate your artistic talents and expand your understanding of various creative disciplines. The High School Summer Scholars Program includes courses in communication and film & media studies.
Our Creative Immersion Institute is an ideal choice for students seeking to engage deeply with writing and creativity, offering opportunities for immersive projects and collaboration with like-minded peers. Additionally, the Ancient Studies Institute provides unique insights into historical art and culture, enriching your perspective and creative repertoire.
Leadership development is a fundamental component for all of our programs. In addition to encouraging leadership in classroom activities, many of our enrichment activities focus on the development of key leadership qualities such as collaboration, self-advocacy, and cultural understanding. We also offer residential students leadership opportunities through our Student Advisory Group and summer programming committees.
For students who are still exploring their academic interests and career options, our High School Summer Launch is a perfect starting point, providing a one-week introduction to college life and academics. This program allows you to experience a variety of subjects and engage with different academic disciplines, helping you to identify areas that excite and inspire you.
